Ike Huval’s practice focuses on oil and gas transactions, bankruptcy and collections, succession matters, and general business transactions. He represents businesses and private clients throughout Louisiana in complex commercial and financial matters.

Ike was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in 1986. Early in his career, he served as a law clerk for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Louisiana from 1986 to 1988, where he gained extensive experience in bankruptcy proceedings and creditor-debtor matters.

Following his clerkship, Ike pursued advanced legal studies abroad at the Université d’Aix-Marseille, Faculté de Droit, in Aix-en-Provence, France, from 1988 to 1990. His international legal education broadened his perspective on civil law systems and complex transactional issues.

Throughout his career, Ike has concentrated his practice on oil and gas transactions, bankruptcy and collections, succession matters, environmental litigation, and general business transactions. He brings decades of practical experience and sound judgment to advising clients on both transactional and litigation-related matters.

Ike earned his Juris Doctor from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University. He received his undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University and is a graduate of Cecilia Senior High School in Cecilia, Louisiana.
